Challenges and Connections: Meeting the Information Needs of Professionals Working with Immigrant Women

(published July 2001)

This research report investigated the professional development needs of front-line staff in agencies working with low-income immigrant women. The report documented a growing need for professional development curriculum and ongoing skills development for the sector. In spite of numerous challenges agencies find creative ways to deliver quality, responsive and appropriate services and to connect with other agencies and staff in the training sector. Out of this project, ACTEW then launched the project Making Connections: Meeting the Information Needs of Professionals Working with Immigrant Women.

Funding for this project was provided by the Maytree Foundation.
