The Pre-LMDA Survey: Get Counted!
Seventy-seven organizations that provide employment programs and services got counted in ACTEW's Pre-LMDA Survey.
The LMDA transfers responsibility for the design and delivery of programs and services from the Federal Government to the Government of Ontario. The transfer may result in significant re-structuring of government support for women’s training and employment services. Read more about the LMDA.
The Pre-LMDA Survey asked what employment and training opportunities are available in Ontario for women before the implementation of the LMDA. The survey was open the month of December 2006 to all organizations providing employment and training services.
In 2008 ACTEW will survey the sector again and compare results.
This data collection is the first effort in Canada to monitor
the impact of LMDA policy changes on half the labour market -- women.
ACTEW is developing a report on the Pre-LMDA Survey results and will make it available on this web site in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, snapshots of survey content will be posted to the ACTEW blog.
The two winners of the $50 gift certificates are:
Scarborough Women's Centre
Working Skills Centre
Congratulations to these two organizations, and a special thanks to all of you who took the time to complete the survey! |
