Have an LMDA meeting in your community
As part of the Putting Women in the Picture, ACTEW is holding meetings throughout the various regions of Ontario.
The meetings bring together community-based agencies that support women's economic independence, as well as other community stakeholders, including individual job-seekers.
The meetings are multi-purpose. They are opportunities for the sector to explore women's employment and training needs, spotlight existing programs and success stories, and share information about changes, trends and challenges.
ACTEW shares outcomes from these meetings with our network, government, and the general public.
These meetings are designed to be flexible and responsive to local needs. Content and format can be adapted to your group's interests. For example, ACTEW can give participants an update on the LMDA and LMPA implementation, or we can coordinate a presentation of this information by representatives from Service Canada and the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities (MTCU). ACTEW will also present on other issues that are relevant to local employment and training concerns.
If there is a meeting happening in your area, please join us! Visit our Events page for upcoming gatherings.
If there is not something happening in your area, contact ACTEW to set one up. We're also happy to partner on another event that may be happening in your region. Call us at (416) 599-3590 or email us at policy@actew.org.
We hope to see you at a meeting in the coming year! |
