Content-Sharing Constellation
(October 2002 - November 2008) The award-winning Content-Sharing Constellation is a network (or constellation) of non-profit agencies engaged in sharing web-based information and resources related to the community-based employment and training sector. ACTEW works in collaboration with community-based partners including:

The Constellation uses interactive self-publishing online tools to facilitate the automatic sharing of online content across a number of web sites and uses a community-driven approach to develop content from a variety of stakeholders across Ontario. Partnering constellation members share news, events, jobs, and or resources across web sites. Any agency can post their own information to any of the above web sites, which will automatically be disseminated to the entire network.

The overall goal is to have between 12-15 community agencies using the tools to share information, and hundreds of community agencies posting and sharing information through these 12 - 15 partner web sites. ACTEW will also develop Best Practices on inter-agency technology collaboration and online marketing strategies. The Best Practices will be produced as guides, and will also be developed into training workshops to be delivered to at least 350 staff in community agencies across Ontario through 4 regional trainers.

The Constellation project aims to provide employment and training-related information that is locally relevant throughout Ontario, timely, and accessible to the widest possible community of learners.

This project is funded with the support of the Office of Learning Technologies, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and the Trillium Foundation.
