ACTEW Members

Membership in ACTEW is open to registered charitable and non-profit organizations that provide employment and training services to women. Other organizations, institutions, or individuals that support our mission are welcome to join ACTEW as associate members.

Why Join?

As an ACTEW member you benefit from:

• bi-monthly workshops and seminars with guest speakers, networking and professional development opportunities. Past topics have included a spotlight on employment and training services for people with disabilities, results from a newly-released survey on lifelong learning in Canada, incorporating a sustainable livelihoods framework into program delivery and design, and a gender-based analysis of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  
• participating in the Women's Online Training Community, including news, events and job listings, resources, a directory of community-based employment and training programs in Ontario, and more. In addition to accessing key, relevant and dynamic content from around the province, members can use the site's interactive tools to post their own program information, news announcements, and resources.
  
• Exclusive access to ACTEW's online Member Discussion Area, that provides online opportunities only to ACTEW members to network and download priority documents affecting women's training and employment.
  
• receiving the monthly ACTEW-L News on the Net and Email Bulletin providing monthly updates of new ACTEW initiatives, selected member profiles, events, links to resources, "tech tips," and more. Our "News on the Net" format provides links to news articles related to women's training issues.
  
• access to ACTEW publications and research, including opportunities to provide input or participate in public education and research initiatives

Whether your agency or organization serves men and women, or offers women-only programs, ACTEW can help you increase your program's knowledge about women's employment and training issues, increase exposure for your programs and services, and provide a forum for information sharing and education. As an ACTEW member we will support you in our shared commitment to support community-based training opportunities for women in Ontario.
